What is Biblical Counseling?
At various times we all feel stuck in unhealthy patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating and could benefit from seeing a counselor. Steph Burchardt is River City's Gospel Care Director and regularly meets with people for biblical counseling. These professional counseling sessions are characterized by gentleness, listening, and guided discussion as they gently help us get unstuck through the word of God, prayer, and the goodness of the gospel. Steph meets with people from River City free of charge and her expertise is for women, men, adolescents, and kids.

Steph Burchardt has been on staff as River City's Gospel Care Director since 2023. Steph is married to Andy and they have two daughters: Ruby and Juliet. She graduated from UW-Platteville with a Psychology degree in 2012. She works part-time at the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF) and is currently attending Westminster Theological Seminary for her Masters in Biblical Counseling.
She has participated in the highly regarded CCEF Internship Program, a year-long program designed to give significant biblical counseling experience through highly engaged supervision and in-depth training by CCEF faculty. Steph has also attained multiple certificates in Biblical Counseling from CCEF.
