About Steph
Steph Burchardt is River City's Director of Gospel Care. Steph is married to Andy and has two daughters: Ruby and Juliet. She graduated from UW-Platteville with a Psychology major in 2012 and has multiple certificates in Biblical Counseling from the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF).
Her heart is to help people at River City grow in their understanding of the gospel, the scriptures, and their application to everyday life through biblical counseling.

Biblical counseling is a guided form of discipleship to help you grow in the gospel. In practice, it looks like a series of meetings with Steph in a private setting where there is relational connection, gentleness, listening, and guided discussion.

No, this is a ministry of River City Church. If someone seems to need a licensed professional Christian counselor in the Dubuque area, we're happy to connect them with one.

This is for men, women, adolescents, and kids who attend River City. At various times we all feel stuck in unhealthy patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating. Biblical counseling is intended to gently help us get unstuck through the word of God, prayer, and the goodness of the gospel.
